On the night of May 5, 2023, 36-year-old Elbert Brown Alford was found deceased from a gunshot wound on Rice Road in Lumberton, North Carolina. Deputies from the Robeson County Sheriff's Office responded to the scene at approximately 10:37 p.m. following reports of a shooting.
