Tanajwa Ayesha McMurray, a 31-year-old African American woman, tragically lost her life on October 11, 2021, in Fayetteville, North Carolina. Tanajwa, who was a 911 dispatcher for Cumberland County, was found dead in her home on Pittsfield Drive. She was five months pregnant at the time of her death. The circumstances surrounding her death were deeply distressing, as it was revealed that she had been shot by her live-in boyfriend, Willie Earl Moore.
