Derek Antione Scott, a 39-year-old African American male, tragically lost his life on December 30, 2021, in Garysburg, North Carolina. Derek was shot and killed while lying in bed at his residence. The suspect drove by his house and fired shots, with one of the bullets ultimately striking Derek. This senseless act of violence took the life of a kind and loving individual who had never harmed anyone.
