Uriah Diondreus McCree, a 19-year-old African American male, was tragically killed on March 22, 2022, in Bessemer City, North Carolina. The incident occurred on Interstate 85 near Exit 13, where McCree was found suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Despite being transported to the hospital, he succumbed to his injuries. The shooting led to the closure of all southbound lanes near the state line with South Carolina.
