Ronnie Dale Hoots, a 61-year-old man from Salisbury, North Carolina, was found dead in his home on May 20, 2022. The Rowan County Sheriff's Office responded to a call reporting a gunshot victim at a residence on Wildwood Road in Salisbury. Upon arrival, deputies discovered Hoots, who had been shot twice, deceased inside his home. The investigation revealed that the suspect, 60-year-old Erick Brown, had gone to Hoots' home to confront him, leading to a fatal altercation. Brown was arrested withou ...
