Jaquan Krider, a 20-year-old African American male, was tragically shot and killed on June 4, 2022, in Charlotte, North Carolina. The incident occurred near the 900 block of Brookshire Boulevard. Jaquan was transported to Atrium Main Hospital by unknown individuals, where he was pronounced dead shortly after arrival due to multiple gunshot wounds.
The Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department launched a homicide investigation immediately following the incident.
Detective Dollar was assigned as the lead investigator on the case. Despite the efforts of the CMPD and the involvement of various departments, including the District Attorney’s Office, operations command, victim services, and crime scene investigation units, no arrests have been made, and the motive for the shooting remains unclear.
