Tyrone Cozart, a 22-year-old African American male, tragically lost his life on June 17, 2022, in Havelock, North Carolina. The incident occurred at a Shell gas station located at 1017 East Main Street. Havelock police responded to a 911 call reporting shots fired at the gas station. Upon arrival, officers found Cozart with multiple gunshot wounds. Despite the efforts of EMS to perform life-saving measures, Cozart succumbed to his injuries at the scene.
