Lakita Morring, a 40-year-old African American woman from Edenton, North Carolina, was tragically shot to death just after midnight on June 28, 2022. The incident occurred on NC32, north of Greenhall Road. The Chowan County Sheriff's Office and the North Carolina State Bureau of Investigation are actively investigating the case.
