Arthur Thomas Nichols, a 48-year-old man from Rockingham, NC, tragically died on October 26, 2022, from a gunshot wound at his residence on Billy Covington Road. Nichols was found suffering from the gunshot wound on the porch of his home and was treated by EMS but could not be revived. The incident occurred around 10:20 p.m., and authorities were immediately dispatched to the scene.
