William Edwin Collins, a Federal Prohibition Agent, was born on September 3, 1882, in Plain Dealing, Louisiana. He was 42 years old at the time of his death. Collins was involved in law enforcement as a Prohibition Agent, having joined the Prohibition Unit on February 26, 1923. Before his career in law enforcement, he was a school teacher.
