On a fateful day in the spring of 1925, the life of Prohibition Agent William Edwin Collins was tragically cut short in the line of duty. On March 6, near Vinton, Louisiana, the 43-year-old male agent found himself in a perilous situation alongside Deputy Sheriff Samuel Duhon as they conducted a raid on an illicit still.
