Detective Jimmy Allen Kinney, aged 42, was a dedicated officer with the Sabine Parish Sheriff's Department in Louisiana. On February 20, 1989, he was tragically shot and killed during a traffic stop on Middle Creek Road just east of Many. Kinney had stopped a man wanted for aggravated kidnapping and aggravated assault.
