In the late hours of a January night in 2007, the life of a veteran law enforcement officer, Alan Inzer, a 43-year-old male, was tragically cut short in Calcasieu Parish, Louisiana. On the evening of January 24th, the off-duty Calcasieu Parish Sheriff's Deputy was with a friend in Lake Charles when he witnessed what he believed to be a burglary in progress at a local business. His instincts as a 17-year veteran of the force took over as he immediately gave chase.
