In the afternoon hours of January 4, 2010, the life of 21-year-old Casimere Rodney Quillens, an African American male, was tragically cut short in New Orleans, Louisiana. Emergency services responded to a report of a vehicle fire on Pleasure Street at approximately 2 p.m. After extinguishing the blaze, firefighters made a grim discovery inside the car: the body of Quillens, who had sustained multiple gunshot wounds.
