In the warm afternoon of Monday, September 16, 2013, in New Orleans, a life was cut tragically short. Kerwin Porsche Borden Sr., a 25-year-old Black male known to some as 'Porsche,' was found lifeless in an abandoned parking lot in the 1800 block of North Derbigny Street in the city's 7th Ward. The call came in around 2:20 p.m., and when officers arrived, they discovered Borden on the ground, having sustained multiple gunshot wounds. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
