Carmen McCauley, a 50-year-old woman from Vivian, Louisiana, tragically lost her life on May 19, 2014. The circumstances surrounding her death were both shocking and heartbreaking. Carmen, who was of African American descent, was found dead in her home, and the cause of her death was determined to be a result of a violent act. The investigation revealed that she had been shot, and her home was subsequently set on fire in an attempt to cover up the crime.
