On February 18, 2015, in New Roads, Louisiana, siblings Senica Williams and LeChelle Rita Williams were fatally shot in a tragic incident. LeChelle, a 42-year-old African American woman born on January 8, 1973, was a native of New Roads. She was the daughter of the late Elbert Lee Williams Sr. and Barbara Williams Parker. LeChelle is survived by her four daughters, one son, and three grandsons.
