Schuylar Gunning, a 36-year-old male from Monroe, Louisiana, tragically lost his life on December 24, 2015, in Franklin Parish. The incident began when Gunning left his parents' home in Baton Rouge unannounced in their white jeep early on Christmas Eve. The situation escalated on U.S. 425 when a deputy noticed a vehicle approaching at a high rate of speed in the wrong lane.
