In the summer of 2016, the life of 17-year-old Roderick 'RJ' Davis Jr., an African American male from Houma, Louisiana, was tragically cut short. On the night of July 11th, Davis went to Scott Lane Park with three other individuals. An argument broke out, leading to gunfire that resulted in Davis sustaining multiple gunshot wounds. His body was discovered in the park around 5 a.m. the following morning, July 12, 2016.
