Earnest McKnight, a 63-year-old African American man, was tragically killed on September 11, 2016, in New Orleans, Louisiana. McKnight, a well-liked landscaper and neighbor in the Central City neighborhood, was shot in the head while walking to a nearby grocery store to buy cigarettes.
