In the small community of Greensburg, Louisiana, a domestic dispute escalated into a tragedy that claimed the life of 54-year-old Gary Wayne Porter, a local man. On the evening of October 17, 2016, deputies from the St. Helena Parish Sheriff's Office were dispatched to a residence on Higginbotham Road following reports of a shooting. Upon their arrival, they discovered Mr. Porter, who had sustained a fatal gunshot wound and was pronounced deceased at the scene.
