On that fateful day, Kline was found dead with a gunshot wound to the chest outside an apartment complex in the 300 block of Marigny Circle in Duson. The incident was reported to the Lafayette Parish Sheriff's Office around 3:38 p.m., and the case was quickly classified as a homicide.
