Shanard Simmons, a 33-year-old man from Duson, Louisiana, tragically lost his life on January 27, 2020, during a home invasion. The incident occurred in the 300 block of Bopamo Lane, where Simmons was shot and killed. A second person present at the residence was unharmed. The Lafayette Parish Sheriff's Office responded to the scene and launched an investigation into the crime.
