Malcolm Wallace, a 25-year-old African American male, tragically lost his life on January 22, 2017, in Metairie, Louisiana. Wallace, along with his 16-year-old sister Monica Bates, was shot while riding in a car on Laurel Street. The car subsequently crashed into a utility pole. Wallace, a father of four, succumbed to his injuries early the next morning at University Medical Center, while his sister died at the scene.
