In a tragic turn of events on a late Sunday evening in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, a young man's attempt to be a peacemaker cost him his life. Andre Wright, a 25-year-old male, was fatally shot on July 9, 2017, on Mariner Drive as he tried to de-escalate a heated argument. Remembered by many as a talented gospel singer who played the keyboard at local churches, his death sent ripples of shock and grief through his community.
