Andre Wright, a 25-year-old African American male, tragically lost his life on July 9, 2017, in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. The incident occurred following a physical altercation between Eric A. Robertson and Wright's brother over a female. When Wright attempted to intervene, Robertson allegedly shot him multiple times and fled the scene. Wright was subsequently transported to a local hospital by his family, where he succumbed to his injuries.
