In a quiet home on Mitcham Peach Orchard Road in Choudrant, Louisiana, a heated argument shattered the peace on August 14, 2017, leaving a husband and wife dead. The victims were identified as 46-year-old Anthony Denicola and his 43-year-old wife, Rachel Denicola. The couple, a male and a female, resided at the home where the fatal incident occurred.
The sole suspect in the double homicide was Rachel's own father, Maganbhai Patel.
Following the shooting, it was Patel himself who contacted the Lincoln Parish Sheriff's Office, dialing 911 to report the events that had transpired. When deputies arrived at the scene, they found Patel waiting for them in the driveway, where he surrendered without any resistance. Inside the residence, law enforcement discovered the bodies of Anthony and Rachel Denicola, who had both succumbed to gunshot wounds.

Maganbhai Patel was subsequently charged with two counts of second-degree murder in connection with the deaths of his daughter and son-in-law.
