Stephain Brailey, a 24-year-old African American male, tragically lost his life on June 22, 2018, in Maurice, Louisiana. He was found with multiple gunshot wounds on the side of the roadway just south of Maurice. The Vermilion Parish Sheriff, Mike Couvillon, confirmed that deputies discovered Brailey's body and that detectives were actively investigating the homicide to determine the motive behind the shooting.
