On a late summer evening in Bastrop, Louisiana, the life of Reginald Jackson, a 42-year-old man, was abruptly ended. On September 1, 2018, Jackson was found with a fatal gunshot wound to the chest at a residence on North Stampley Street. The initial investigation by the Bastrop Police Department suggested that an argument had preceded the deadly shooting. Jackson, an Army veteran, was remembered by acquaintances as a good-hearted person who often had a joke for every situation.
