In the late hours of Thursday, November 8, 2018, the life of 38-year-old Christopher Evans, a Black/African American male, was tragically cut short in a violent series of events that began with a drug overdose and ended in a deadly confrontation. Evans was working on his girlfriend's Chevrolet Tahoe outside his Slidell, Louisiana, home when he was approached by a man police later identified as Justin Cox.
