On October 19, 2019, 33-year-old Andre Johnson, an African American male, was found shot to death inside his apartment at the Slidell Housing Authority located at 1150 Martin Luther King Drive in Slidell, Louisiana. The Slidell Police Department responded to reports of gunshots and discovered Johnson's body. An investigation revealed that four teenagers had gone to Johnson's apartment with the intention of robbing him of his marijuana.
