On February 14, 2019, Aerial Edwards, a 25-year-old pregnant African American woman, was fatally shot in a drive-by shooting at her home on Russell Lane in Glynn, Louisiana. At approximately 1:45 a.m., while she and her boyfriend, Kendell Mingo, were asleep in the living room, multiple gunshots were fired into the residence.
