LaShan Lacey, a 41-year-old African American woman from Zachary, Louisiana, was tragically killed on July 20, 2019. The incident occurred at her home on Cordoba Drive, where she was shot by Ernest Howard, a 35-year-old man from Jackson, Louisiana. The two had a prior relationship, and the shooting was treated as a domestic violence incident by the East Feliciana Parish Sheriff's Office. Authorities responded to the scene around 4:30 p.m. and pronounced Lacey dead upon arrival.
