In the summer of 2020, a burst of gunfire shattered the evening quiet on Linden Street in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, leaving a wake of tragedy. On July 15th, Cody Hypolite, a 27-year-old male, was caught in the deadly violence. The shooting, which erupted around 9:30 p.m. in the 3300 block of the street, claimed his life at the scene. He had sustained apparent gunshot wounds from which he would not recover, his future abruptly extinguished.
