Everett Wayne Finley, a 61-year-old man from Abita Springs, Louisiana, tragically died on August 12, 2020. He was known to friends as Gator James. Finley was shot at a home near Abita Springs shortly before 3 a.m. on the day of his death. He called 911 to report that he had been shot, but despite efforts to save him, he later died from his injuries at the hospital.
