On February 21, 2007, 21-year-old Andrew Keith was shot and killed in broad daylight at the intersection of Columbia Road and Devon Street in Boston's Dorchester neighborhood. Officers responded to a call at approximately 3:26 PM and found Keith suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. He was pronounced dead at the scene. His murder added to the growing list of youth violence in the area, which was experiencing an alarming rate of homicides during that period.
