On June 10, 2007, 23-year-old Angel Ortiz was fatally shot in the parking lot of 24 E. Brookline Street in Boston's South End. The shooting occurred late at night, and Ortiz was discovered by responding officers suffering from a gunshot wound. He was transported to Boston Medical Center, where he was later pronounced dead.
