On a late Sunday night in Boston, the life of 23-year-old Hispanic male Angel Ortiz was tragically cut short. On June 10, 2007, in the South End neighborhood of the city, Ortiz was fatally shot in a parking lot located at 24 E. Brookline Street. When police officers arrived at the scene, they discovered Ortiz suffering from a gunshot wound. He was quickly transported to Boston Medical Center in an attempt to save his life, but he was later pronounced dead.
