In the spring of 2021, the life of 21-year-old Keonta Matthew Jackson was cut short in a burst of gunfire in his hometown of Baton Rouge, Louisiana. On the evening of Tuesday, May 18, 2021, a double shooting occurred near Evangeline Street Park, leaving Jackson fatally wounded. He was a young male with his whole life ahead of him, but tragically he became another victim of gun violence.
