Dovante Demond "Slim" Mitchell, a 25-year-old African American male, tragically lost his life on July 11, 2021, in Saint Rose, Louisiana. Born on March 13, 1996, in Laplace, Louisiana, Dovante was a beloved member of his community and family. He was predeceased by his grandparents, Adam and Debra Lumar, and his aunt Jeanette Pierre. He is survived by his parents, Jeffery and Tonja Mitchell, his siblings, Diamante Mitchell and Keon Coleman Sr., and his close friend Janae Charles.
