In the early morning hours of July 2, 2008, 28-year-old African-American female Tiffany Lomax was the victim of a fatal shooting in Boston's Mattapan neighborhood. She was a passenger in a car on River Street when another vehicle pulled alongside and an occupant opened fire. Lomax was struck in the chest by the gunfire.
