An 18-year-old female, Serena Williams, was tragically killed in a shooting on November 16, 2021, in Alexandria, Louisiana. The incident occurred at the Sanctuary at Alexandria Apartments on Lakeside Drive. According to Alexandria police, multiple shots were fired into the apartment unit where Williams was located. Also inside the apartment was Williams' sister, who survived the attack.

The suspect in the shooting was identified as Germon Jefferson. Jefferson shared a child with Williams' ...
