Serena Williams, an 18-year-old African American female from Alexandria, Louisiana, tragically lost her life on November 16, 2021. The incident occurred around 10:30 p.m. at the former Chateau Deville Apartments complex on Lakeside Drive, now known as The Sanctuary at Alexandria. Serena was inside an apartment with others when Germon Jefferson, a 25-year-old male, arrived and allegedly shot her multiple times in the chest.
