In the quiet town of Tickfaw, Louisiana, the life of 37-year-old Tiffany Schultz was tragically cut short. On the evening of Wednesday, January 12, 2022, police responded to a call at a residence on Highway 442 East. There, they discovered Schultz's body. It was quickly determined by the Tickfaw Police Department that she was the victim of a homicide.
The investigation into her death was a collaborative effort, with the Hammond Police Department and the Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff's Office assisting. Through their diligent work, investigators learned that Schultz had been shot and killed. The focus of the investigation soon turned to a single suspect.
Evidence gathered by detectives pointed to 28-year-old Tyrail Tate of Kentwood as the individual responsible for Tiffany Schultz's death. A warrant for his arrest on the charge of second-degree murder was issued. On the night of Sunday, January 16, 2022, law enforcement located and apprehended Tate. The arrest was made by the Washington Parish Sheriff's Office, with the assistance of officers from the Tickfaw and Hammond Police Departments, as well as the Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff's Office.
