Corterion Collins, a 17-year-old African American male from Vivian, Louisiana, tragically lost his life on December 29, 2022. Collins, a senior at North Caddo High School and a promising basketball player, was caught in an exchange of gunfire between two groups of teenagers. The incident occurred around noon on North Cypress Street in Vivian, where approximately 20 rounds were fired.
