On a late summer evening in 2010, the life of a young Black man, Besher Jamal Johnson, was tragically cut short in Boston. On August 28th, police responded to a call of a person shot at 970 Blue Hill Avenue. Upon arrival, they discovered 23-year-old Johnson suffering from gunshot wounds. He was pronounced deceased at the scene.
