On a late summer evening in Boston, the life of 18-year-old Jeremy Price, a Black male, was cut short by a single gunshot. On September 6, 2010, at approximately 8:39 p.m., police responded to a call for shots fired on Astoria Street in the Mattapan neighborhood. There, they found Price suffering from a gunshot wound. He was rushed to Boston Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead.
