Danilo Man Rodica, a 33-year-old Filipino man, tragically lost his life on February 10, 1980, in Berwyn, Illinois. He was one of two victims shot during an armed robbery at the Empire Jewelry Store in Berwyn. The other victim, Thomas Pavlopoulos, was Linda Manzano's boyfriend, and Rodica was her brother. The perpetrator, Walter Stewart, was apprehended by Berwyn police officers as he fled the scene with stolen jewelry.
