Stanley Hays, a 77-year-old man from Detroit, IL, tragically lost his life on March 11, 1997. He was killed during a bank robbery at the Comerica branch in Detroit. The incident occurred when Allen Lane Griffin Jr., a 21-year-old man, entered the bank and announced a holdup. Griffin then shot and killed Stanley Hays, along with two other employees, Lisa Griffin and James Isom.
