Michael Anthony Ceriale, a 26-year-old white male, was a dedicated officer with the Chicago Police Department. On August 15, 1998, while conducting an undercover narcotics surveillance operation near the Robert Taylor Homes at 4101 South Federal Street, he was tragically shot.
