In the early hours of an April morning in 2011, the life of a young African-American man, Edmund Andrade, was tragically cut short. At approximately 1:08 a.m. on April 20th, Boston police responded to a call for shots fired on Trull Street in the Dorchester neighborhood. Upon their arrival, officers found 23-year-old Edmund Andrade suffering from apparent gunshot wounds. He was quickly transported to Boston Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead.
