Sheroid Liggins, a 19-year-old African American male, was fatally shot in the head on February 16, 2012, in Chicago, Illinois. The incident occurred on the sidewalk in the Greater Grand Crossing neighborhood. Liggins was discovered by police lying on the street with a single gunshot wound to the head in the 6400 block of South King Drive at approximately 6:46 p.m. He was immediately transported to Stroger Hospital in critical condition, where he remained until he was pronounced dead just before ...
