On December 31, 2013, August Galladay, a 25-year-old male, was fatally shot in the Armour Square neighborhood on Chicago's South Side. The incident occurred during an argument with his father, Donald Golladay, 67, inside their home on the 3700 block of South Wells Street. During the altercation, Donald Golladay shot his son in the chest. August Galladay was immediately taken to Northwestern Memorial Hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 1:19 a.m.
