Darrin Hayes II, a 25-year-old African American male, was tragically shot to death on February 10, 2014, in Belleville, Illinois. The incident occurred inside his apartment on Gateway Industrial Drive. Hayes was found with multiple gunshot wounds and was pronounced dead at the hospital. At the time of the shooting, Hayes was with his two young children, a 2-year-old daughter and a 2-month-old son.
